Could you do lg tv to dish it self - LG Televison & Video

LG TV - LG Blu-Ray = HDMI (any except 1 if using below)
LG TV - Sound bar = Digital Optical Audio or HDMI 1 or Headphone (depending on your TV Audio out ports.)
LG TV - Dish STB = HDMI

It all depends on the DISH system and the TV. For the most part the CC signal is carried on the cable from the box to the TV. Not sure how you have the DISH connected to the TV, but lets assume its HDMI. Connected this way you should be able to go into the TV settings (use the remote that came with the TV, NOT the dish remote) and go into the settings or menu. From there look for audio. In the audio menu is a section for CC. You should be able to turn it on from there. Or just check on the LG remote. They sometimes have a CC button that you simply push to turn it on. Hello Al, my name is Cheri Torres and I work with DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. Connecting your LG TV to your DISH Network receiver should be fairly easy, depending on the connections you are using. If you are using an HDMI cable you will need to connect one side of it to your LG TV and the other end into your DISH receiver, as long as you have an HD receiver. If you do not have an HD receiver you are probably going to want to use composite cables(red, white and yellow). If you are using either of these cables you are going to have to set your TV to an input in order to receive the DISH picture. You can select an input by finding a button on the TV remote or the TV itself that is listed as input, source, AUX, mode or video. You will need to cycle through each one until you find the DISH picture on one of them. Once you have the picture you will need to press SAT on your DISH remote and everything should be working fine from there. If you are using a powerstrip may not be supplying enough power to run the LG HDTV and your HD receiver. If you are using a powerstrip make sure the receiver is plugged directly into the wall. Otherwise this may be a grounding issue please reply if this doesn't work and we can look into some other possibilities.

Hello there!!!!! If your remote is giving you troubles, you can try a power scan, which scans through each code for the tv until you reach the correct one. Just follow the link provided below, and begin the scan. Remember when you are done programming your remote, press the SAT button on the top left of the remote. Hope this helps!!!
