Lcd cannot be seen at all , tried touching any button other than ON button because of screensaver mode and still nothing!?

There's a ribbon cable for the display that gets cut when lifting the display. Canon has an improved cable, but you need a shop to replace it for you.

On your home screen tap the the app button,then tap the screen saver app. Tap Enable Screensaver to turn the screensaver mode on or off. Then remove the check to "service enable" check box.

Screensaver stuck


Sounds like you have a runaway process that is consuming all resource. Sorry but you'll just have to hold down the power button until the machine shuts down. Then restart and you should be ok.

My screen goes into screensaver mode after few minutes how do i get it to not go into that mode?


It may gone into shutdown mode to protect itself. Try it on another PC first, if it still does not work then please read below:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). My N96 is going to screensaver mode!!!


try backing up your contacts and bits and pieces on your pc then do the 3 finger reset.press and hold green 3 and *, then switch on the fone do not let go of any of the buttons till youare asked for your location

Touchscreen is inoperabable


This fault is often caused by a failing flat cable that connects the LCD panel and the rest of the camera. In its early stages it is possible to get the buttons on the touch panel to work by carefuly changing the angle of the LCD panel while trying out the buttons until you get a position where they work.
When the flat cable gets worse , the picture on the LCD panel will start deteriorating and go off altogether.
At this stage you may consider having the flat cable replaced

Getting frequent black screens on 1501 Inspiron Laptop


Black screen is probably a screen saver or the screen is turned off by power management software.
Check your screensaver setting. Change the screensaver to None to disable screensaver.
I assume you are using Windows XP.
If the LCD is turned off by power management, on the same screen with screen saver, on the lower part of the box there is a Power button. Click to open Power Options Properties. Set your monitor power properties there.
When the screen go blank and you have to push power button, probably the computer is set to go to stand by mode after some idle minutes. You can also set it here in system standby setting.

Try to calibrate the touch screen. Push and hold the power button on until you see a white dot on the screen. This is the calibration mode. Touch the dot and another dot will apppear, now touch this dot again, keep doing this until the unit reboot.

If you touch the 1st dot and nothing happens then the digitizer on the LCD is dead. If the unit is still under warranty, get a RMA and return it to Garmin.
