Fixing loose parts on led lcd tv.

I recently noticed when I tilt the tv forward there is a discoloration on a section near the top of the screen. The discoloration goes away after the tv is untilted. When I tilt the tv forward you can also hear that something is moving around. I have recently taken the tv apart to replace the power supply board, although I was wondering if you had to take the back panel off as well as the power supply board and I/O board to get to the Leds because I think that an Led strip may be loose or another part or parts close to it.

All your thinking might not be true. You can think whatever you like. But; all of it are not valuable in case of an LCD TV.
Thing further. Then think it over again and again. Sit back at ease, and continue thinking.
Come here to this forum, after thinking has been over. OK?

SOURCE: 42 tv issue

The part number you gave, 932222538682 is a pdp (Plasma Display Panel), and that's just the display panel of a Philips 42" Plasma Tv., which by the way has been substituted to Philips p/n# 932222695682 and is the most expensive part of the Tv- worth about $1800.00 dollars. Unless you have some grand design to be the first on your block to own the most expensive heath kit in the world I'd suggest you return it and spend your money more wisely on a unit already assembled..

Measure the connector from the logic board to the power supply the second pin from the left it will say Vs_ On if the set has 3.1 volts the problem is the SSB or the logic board. On the logic board there should be a solid led and a flashing led that shown that data id flowing and the problem is the SSB. The SSB is easy to replace just remember what you tokk loose and from where. You probely will save money that way. If the set is in warranty or just out of warranty contact Philips 1-888-744-5477 and see what they can do first.

If the power supply outputs are good! Then I would say the back light inverter is bad! If the screen stays black and does not come on.

SOURCE: Tv will not power on. Led light is meaningful.

Is very unlikely that the backlight inverter board is defective, even if it was the tv should power ON but will not illuminate the screen and no video.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Why isn't my tv getting power?

Check the AC mains cord. If it is OK; The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Why does my TV show discolored vertical bands and can I fix it at home?

The T-con board controls the picture elements on the screen. Usually replacing this board will solve the problem. If you can touch the screen and the lines disappear and later reappear, that says the screen itself is defective. The only fix is to replace the entire screen.

Discolored Sides

Hi,Yes your problem sounds like the DMD board. This is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens.Ths if your tv is a dlp if its a Lcd it will be an issue with your light engine: Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

1.  tearing/fluttering/ripping across entire screen caused by damages associated with diode 522, and;
