My # ************. When my phone rings and not answered, instead of going to voice mail, it goes to a fast busy tone. Can you help?

Perhaps you inadvertently set the phone to not accept voice mail. I've done it several times just by hitting a certain set of characters. If you can't find it in the manual, contact your service provider.

My phone is not ringing when I get incoming calls, beeping when I get txts, and it won't go on loud speaker. The volume is high. Its set to normal profile, with ringing volume high. Please advise.

Some how your phone was reset or had the tone turned off. Just follow the below guide and your audio should come back on. I would do a soft reset (turn off the handset, remove the battery then reinsert) before performing the instructions.

Tone settings
To select a ringing tone for voice calls, select Tones >
Ringing tone.
To select a ringing tone for video calls, select Tones > Video
call tone.
To set the ringing type, select Tones > Ringing type. You
can also set the device to sound a ringing tone that is a
combination of the spoken name of the caller and the
selected ringing tone, when someone from your contacts list
calls you. Select Tones > Say caller's name.
To set the volume level of the ringing tone, select Tones >
Ringing volume.
To set the various alert tones, select Tones > Message alert
tone, E-mail alert tone, Calendar alarm tone, or Clock
alarm tone.
To set the device to vibrate when you receive a call, select
Tones > Vibrating alert.
To set the volume level of the device keypad tones, select
Tones > Keypad tones.

I have included a link to download your user manual if needed, it comes as a PDF file so you need to have adobe PDF down loader

Ring tone cuts out too fast. How do I prolong dialing tone so thst I can grt to phone before it cuts out?

When the ring tone cuts out, your caller goes to your voice mail, right?

The length of time before an unanswered caller goes to voice mail is called your "ring cycle" and is set by your phone carrier (e.g. Vodaphone, Verizon, Orange, etc.)

There shouldn't be any charge to change your ring cycle, and some cell carriers will let you adjust it from your account settings on their website, but the simplest answer is just to call your carrier's customer service and ask them to change the ring cycle for your number.

For cell carriers in the US, you can call 611 from your phone to reach your carrier's customer service, but I don't know about other countries' mobile carriers.

2 second ring time then to message bank - need to know how to extend

Your cell phone carrier controls that. To you it only goes off twice you should find that the caller hears 4-5 rings before going to voice mail. Either way call "611" and talk to the tech department to see if they can help. Call from a different phone.

Motorola TracFone C139: no dial-tone/no voice

Lol, i love your solution, but anyway, the cause of the problem isn't simple. First of all, if the phone has always been this way then it is a manufacturing problem. However, if it is of recently that the problem occurs, then a circuit blew in the phone. To prevent this from happening when you get a new phone, keep it cool because heat causes the circuits to be on the fritz.

Where is the Initial Setup at?

DTMF tones will not fix your length of rings before the phone kicks over to voicemail. You have to call your wireless carrier to fix that because voice mail is an external system on your wireless carriers NETWORK.

Changing the DTMF tones from short/long to off will only make your Voice mail prompts not work :) you always want your DTMF tones to at least be on SHORT.

And your right, DTMF tones are not on the LG phones because LG knew there was no point to that... IF a customer shuts them off they'll only be calling their wireless providers saying "every time i press a button for the selection i want.. it never registers!"

Hope this helps
