Question about Xerox WorkCentre Pro 785 Plain Paper Laser Fax

Xerox WorkCentre Pro 785

Paper gets stucked and it only uses A4 paper. Please help me how I can resolve these two problems

    software update was performed but never completed. It now just restarts over and over

If this machine has two trays, try to switch to the top tray and configur this tray for legal size. See if the machine works.
This machine has a clutch on the back of the feed roll, sometimes they do fail. The clutch needs to be replaced. While replacing the clutch replace the feed wheels with it.
The back of the machine where the paper tray is inserted, there are sensing switches. If they are not pushed against the tray correctly you can have occuring jams.
Check also the side lower door, when you open the side door you will see black paper guides. These guides sometimes break off. If they are broken see how you can refit the guide back into the right place.
Also make sure the fuser exit switch is operating correctly. It it hangs up it can cause false jams in the machine.

My best guess with the A4 is that the tray guide is not set correctly. Or the machine has been told that your tray has A4 in the tray.
If you resolve the A4 issue, you will most likely resolve the jamming problem since it is looking for a longer piece of paper.
Additionally, take a cloth with a soapy cleaner. Fantastic, some cleaner like that, take out the drum, and toner cartridges and clean all the rollers you can see throughly.
If that doesnt resolve the issue then you may also have some very worn out rollers. See if they feel slick .

Special paper tray is empty error

Sounds like someone requested A4 size paper in a print job instead of the normal Letter size paper...
Try putting regular letter size paper in the bypass tray and then set it up as A4 size...the print job should then print out on that paper.

My Xerox 4150 keeps taking lots of blank pages through when printing multiple page documents sometimes 30 or 40 at a time

Two possible solutions to your problem.
If you are talking about grabbing more sheets than one from the tray, you need to make sure the tray guides are up flush against the paper.
If on the other hand you are talking about scanned/copied jobs, check the setting for your scanner, it may be set to letter size which is longer than A4, so the machine thinks it needs another sheet to complete the job causing a blank page to be sent.

If anything else fails, call Xerox and ask for parts support. They might be able to sell you the part. Keep in mind you might have to purchase the whole paper feed assembly, not just the roller.

My workcentre Pro 416 shows a jam, i have removed all jams that i could see. However it shows clear jam, and has 19 to dos on the screen, like open door, clean jam, close door, etc.. Is there a major reset...

On this 416 machine, there is one place you cannot see a jam.
Looking at the machine the right side doors need to be opened.
The lower trays feed paper and need to go up the by pass feeder area.
Just lower and behind the by-pass feeder the paper can get stuck, and you cannot see it.
If you try to push a card stock up from the bottom, the paper can be pushed out.
The other area is at the fuser. If the switch is worn it will not drop back into position. The tip of the switch wears and breaks off.
It is rare a sensor goes out on this machine, besides the fuser sensor. Each paper feed head needs to be checked to see if the paper sensors are bad.
Not seeing the machine, call Xerox for service repair if not resolved.

We have the Xerox WorkCentre 665 and it's printing so light.

You can pull the developer houseing out. Wipe the mag roll, so it has a shinny area.
in a small area. Enter the developer housing in again.
Try running a copy.
Remove the developer housing and see if the mag roll moved. If it did not and it is still shinny and clean, this is the problem with light copies. Possibley bad developer housing or ciruit boards. Both are costly.

One other area is, if the developer housing is working, see what brand of toner you are using on this machine?

If it is a brand other than Xerox, dump it all out.
The developer housing has to be completely emptied.
Enter the Xerox toner and see how it works.

Also, a bad Transfer corotron can cause this problem, it may be arching in the blocks.

If all else fails, call Xerox for this major repair.

How to open a message???help!!!!!

On the console you should find menu buttons. Find jobs or job prints. Select your number job and print it.
The menu buttons have many features you can scroll through. The print reports can print out the menu of the different menus of the fax machne.
