Replace the Air filters and check the fans. sometimes it is noticed in this model that fans slow down the speed. Also check that is it shows the temp indication.

After mowing for several hours, my engine stops and will not start till it cools for an hour. Have replaced plugs and wires, no good.

Check the fuel line and see if its running any where heat is warming it up significantly, this is called vapor lock and will cause what you describe.

Also check carefully that nothing is blocking the flow of air over the motor while it is running, a piece of paper even will cause overheats.
WHile your looking clean any areas especially around the motor fins to allow better cooling, this sometimes needs a long skinny screwdriver to clean out buildup grass deposits, then while engine is cool blast the areas with a hose, being careful to avoid the carb/intake area (a plastic bag and a rubber band work good for this), remember motor must be cool to do this.

Before buying a projector bulb

1. Always be aware of bulb usage hours: bulbs normally last ~ 2000 hours

2. If the bulb pops and goes out:
  • Follow the manufactures safety instructions for this condition.
  • Normally, the bulb will need replacing.
3. If the lamp just turns off:

a. If lamp hours were getting high and the picture was getting progressively dimmer, normally the bulb will need replacing.

b. If bulb hours were low or a few hundred hours from 2000:
  • Clean all filters and air ports.
  • Try the projector again checking overall projector ventilation.
  • There is a heat sensor in most projectors that will shut off the machine if it overheats, so air flow must be unobstructed.
c. If ventilation does not solve the problem:
  • Take out the lamp, following the manufactures instructions.
  • Inspect the lamp bulb visually through the lamp glass window.
  • Look for cracks or damage in the bulb and whether one or both of the lamp wire elements is detached from the top of the bulb.
  • In either case, the bulb is bad and should be replaced by purchase or possibly by warranty if the lamp hours are low.
  • Normally, bulb replacement is the solution, but other issues could also exist.
d. If the lamp looks undamaged and/or you are unsure of the status, the problem could be a lamp ballast, power supply, or main control board issue, and should be evalulated by a technician. Unfortunately, a bad bulb can also result from one of the above issues.

How to change a light on a 2001 chev cavalier

remove upper air intake splash shield.remove the headlight housing retaining bolts and pull the housing assembly out to access the bulbs.rotate bulb holder counterclockwise to remove bulbs.WARNING YOU NEED TO WEAR CLEAN GLOVE TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULBS BECAUSE THEY ARE HALOGEN BULBS. IF YOU TOUCH HALOGEN BULBS WITH BARE HANDS. OILS FROM SKIN WILL CAUSE HALOGEN BULBS TO OVERHEAT BLOW OUT SO WEAR CLEAN DRY GLOVES.

LG Dryer takes too long to dry clothes

Sure the outside vent is not clogged up? If so it will overheat and turn it self off and do a poor job of drying the clothes.

Also check and make sure that all of the heating elements are working properly.

My LG front loading dryer doesn't dry well

Check the exhaust vent when running and be sure there is a good flow of air. You may have to clean the exhaust pipes all the way through. Dryers require a good flow of air for proper operation.

The dryer does slightly heat up but not enough to dry the clothes. There is luke warm air coming out of the vent. On high heat it takes over an hour to dry the clothes and they are not all the way dry.

You may want to check the dryer interior cabinet and/or the entire exhaust duct run to ensure you have no clogs anywhere. The following link explains many of the problems that can cause poor drying efficiency and longer dry times:

Before assuming you have a problem with the appliance, check your installation to ensure you are providing the dryer with proper exhaust and air flow. A dryer in a clogged state or having improper air flow will not dry efficiently and will cause the heating circuits to actually overheat. Eventually, this can lead to component failures and is the source of fire hazards.

If you have any questions, please post back an let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

I have a whirlpool dryer that the timer does not seem to work. There is air flow and the link piping was cleaned out this summer. However, there seems to be no heat with the drying. Thanks

There are two stats on the heater. one is a running stat that cycles to give required heat. The other is an overheat stat that does not reset. Check these for continuity (use a battery , flashlight bulb and wire for circuit test) If these are in circuit and okay, the timer is faulty and would be costly to replace.

My dryer will only dry on certain settings. It won't dry on auto anymore. After it runs a while it gets hot and stops, it won't run on any setting. After it cools it will run a while but it takes hours to...

Check your vent on the outside of the house! If you do not have a lot of air passing through the vent, the dryer will overheat and can ruin the thermostats and the heating element. Clean the vent out and check to make sure the vent hose is not pinched causing a restriction. If the vent is blowing forceful air, then it could be a thermostat but I doubt it. If it does not run in auto when it's cold, chances are that your timer is faulty.

Takes almost 4 hours/timed cycles to dry 1 load of bedding/sheets

most of the time your complaint is the home owners house a load with the venting detached[it wont hurt a thing] if ok then must clean venting till dried as well as with out venting.if still long dry times first must make sure air ways in dryer are clean[should have good air flow at back if hand held there] and may need to remove front to clean lint filter area.and inspect blower ,making sure mounted to shaft and not worn in the center[blower key way, inside the hole where motor shaft goes thru blower]you dryer only has one element so if you have heat its heating.if you did all above and have problem still can be electronic[thermostats, timers etc........but i have fixed 1000s of dryers and their having problems are rarer.i hope that helps God bless ,tom
