How does one get your detector recalibrated? Mine suddenly lost sensitivity

metal detectors are ******* batteries especially alkaline type so check the charge in the batteries with a voltmeter
if they are still at correct voltage , take it back for a warranty check or replacement

Laser is very sensitive to false alarms often set off when driving by an airport, or military base. Set your laser on City Mode and pay attention exactly where it goes off. Mine goes off constantly in the same place which is a air force base in Tucson, AZ. Unless you drive like crazy shut it off in the city although the cops like to use a hand held one in school zones. In 6 years of driving in Arizona I have had one real laser alert, and other than false alerts, real ones are far and few in between. Check when and where the unit alerts and use different sensitivity settings. One more thing, if your laser warning goes off you already have the ticket since the cops use them at close range unlike the radar bands. Hope this helps.

I just fixed mine, it was making the loud sounds and had seemed to have lost the sensitivity. Take out all the screws on the outside, then the sides can come off. That gives access to the inside where you can take out a few more screws (easily seen) and open it all up. The keys themselves just snap in, so two small screwdrivers or strong fingernails can pop them back out. Clean the rubber contacts (they look like little sockets) with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol, then replace the keys. If you take out the white keys of an octave first, then the black keys (keeping them in order) it is a lot easier.

The potenometer in the device is worn. This is a variable resistor device use to variate the difference between turning right or left. I don't know if you can obtain parts for this item. May consider buying another one.

It's probably not a fuse. It sounds like your vehicle speed sensor went bad in the transmission. The reason your radio stopped working was because your radio is probably equipped with speed sensitive volume and it requires a speed signal to work.

Try doing a factory reset as described in the user manual since it is possible that a power fluctuation has somewhat corrupted the internally saved user settings.
