On an Intel D945GTP mobo? No prob!
I would like you to download the User Manual, (Motherboard Manual)
This way you will not only have the Front Panel header pinout, you will also have other needed information for the future.
However, in case for some reason you are unable to download the User Manual, I will post the connections also.
[ The plastic front of your computer is the Front Panel.
The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the cables, from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header ]

[ Disregard the following if you are aware;
This is a PDF file. The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.
{I would suggest upgrading to Adobe Reader X version, if your computer does not have it }
At the top of the PDF file { Header }, is the PDF file page number box.
If you know the page you want, you can use the Down Arrow to slowly arrive at the page you want,
Or,
1) Put your mouse cursor in the page number box. Left-click once.
2) Type the page you want.
3) Press the Enter key
The Zoom In icon ( + ) increase the view size.
The Zoom Out icon ( - ) decreases the view size ]
Go to Page 13. This shows a Top View of the motherboard.
It is clocked 90 degrees to the right, in regards to how it is actually sitting in your computer case. (In your mind turn it to the left)
The letter O indicates the Front Panel header.
Turned as it should be mounted in your computer case;
1) It is a rectangular block with two rows of pins.
2) It is under the SATA headers on the motherboard.
The Front Panel header is color coded.
A) The two pins in the Red block are for the Power On switch

IF, the Power On LED is dim when the computer is on, switch the wires around.

IF, when the harddrive is active the LED is dim, switch the wires around.
