Gas oven not reginiting automatically

the igniter could be bad if having hard time to relite once lit should stay lit until set temp should relite automatically when needed

dirty gas orifice in the oven near the burner clean it and try again

what you should be doing next is to get a gas fitter out to determine why the pilot light is going out or the sparker is not lighting the gas
gas is not a diy operation as a mistake from you could destroy the building and yourself

read the user manual as the temp should be thermostat controlled were with gas there is always a pilot light burning when the oven is in use and when the set temp is reached the gas burner is shut off and when the temp fall below set point , the gas is turned on again and the pilot light starts the burner
by using the timer , when the time is reached the gas is turned off and of course you will have to relight it
if you do not have a user manual , download one from google or talk with a gas repair shop

Seems all there is left to check is the switch

Check the cooling fan inside of your control panel. Most likely the computer board overheats and shuts itself down.

The temp indicator light goes on and off according to the temp selected.
The sensor referred to is part and parcel of the the thermostat, or temp selector
the fact the light goes on and off, shows that the thermostatt is working, but neccesserily at the correct temp.I maintain that the thermostat that controls the temp is faulty, and needs to be replaced.

When I turn on my westinghouse gas oven (GOL476), it appears to ignite immediately but after 3 or 4 minutes there is a strong gas smell which lasts for sometime before it gradually disappears.

your oven needs a new ignitor it has to draw 3 amps or more to open the gas valve (just because it glows doesnt mean its good) let me know how you make out
