You will have to go into the router interface and reset the configuration for the router and make sure all connections are connected correctly

I just purchased A Linksys E2000 router & a Linksys AE1000 Wireless Adapter Which one should I install First. Thank You, Lenny...

Sandlfama,

It does not really matter which is installed when as long as both are installed and configured properly. Only , the adapter can be tested for correctness if the router is installed and working already. And the router does not need a computer to work while the adapter does.

Hi , I keep getting an 'error 109' at the end of my router config. What do I do??

I think you are trying to install the router using the CD.
But you can install the router without the CD also.
If you connect the computer to the modem , does it works ?
If it works then modem is working. now connect the computer and modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router. change the Internet settings according to the ISP.

I have DI-604 in line between Windows Vista computer and cable modem. Works fine. Bought DIR-615 (wireless). Several places instructions say, ""Insert the DIR-615 CD into computer and click Install Router....

Contrary to the many warnings not to install the router before starting the installation with the CD, I got the installation to complete only AFTER I installed the router inline thusly:

1. Power everything off.
2. Remove DI-604.
2. Install and connect 615 router to computer and to modem.
3. Apply power to router and modem.
4. Apply power to computer and wait until Windows loads.
5. Insert 615 installation CD.
6. Follow the directions.

I lost my cd to install how do i go by installing this router to my new laptop

you said that you are to connect the new laptop to the router.
Do you have any other computer already working through the router ?
If your other computers are working through the router then your router already set up and you don't need to run the CD. all you need to do is connect to the wireless network.
If this is the only one computer in your network and you are trying to install the router then you can do it manually also without CD.
