Kettler Sirocco cross trainer. The resistance has gone completely and I'm trying to remove the covers so I can see what has happened. I've removed all the screws but still cannot remove the covers.

sometimes you can fix it this way. In the place where you use it, slacken off the frame fixing bolts, give the cross trainer a bit of a shake and then tighten all the bolts up again. The helps to put equal pressure on all the parts.

Maybe there is something interfering with the difficulty plus button it may be stuck. try holding the difficulty minus and see it that hold it level and if it increases when you release its a faulty button.

The resistance motor can be bad, remove the body cover and check if the motor moves when you change resistance

Check for a small adapter hole on the bottom side of the keypad/control console.
