What can cause gas leaking into the air box on a Kawasaki ZR-7?

A float valve in the carbs is sticking or the float height settings are incorrect or a float has a hole in it.

Might also be worth checking your engine's valve clearances while you are at it as there could be a slight pressure leak causing blowback.

Do not use Pri on your fuel tap until this is sorted as it could cause hydraulic lock in your engine, which will wreck it. Fuel will flow through your carbs into the engine when it is parked.
This will also ruin your engine oil as the fuel will mix with it.

Im getting lots of blowback through the oil stick but if i tighten it it stops running

blowback is due to compression leaking past needs to be overhauled.probably cheaper to get used or remanufactured.

What is a blowback airsoft gun?

Blowback Airsoft Guns are Airsoft weapons that seem much the same as true firearms, since genuine firearms, well some, are secured in a Blowback layer of paint or something to that effect.

The entire slide on the gun with re-cock itself consequently after every shot then generally in the wake of shooting the complete cut after the last shot the slide stays open. The main issue with these airsoft guns is they will consume through your gas. CO2 or green gas both can have blowback.

There appears to be fine powdery dust on thr carb side of filter. I clean filter and oil with filter oil after every ride. I grease the end of the filter. I cant see any cracks or holes.

Hi there! What kind of oil are you using? You are supposed to use oil of similar grade to the engine oil. Is the filter still in good shape? If all these check ok, that might not be dust, but small deposits from carb blowback which can be considered perfectly normal.
Hope this helps and let me know if you discover any thing more on this subject! My regards, Sergio

Rebuilt carb but won't start, it tries to but coughs back through carb, is my engine out of timing? can you help? thanks otis

From your explanation it seems tht the bike's engine could be out of timing, but prior to the carburator cleaning was it acting the same and thts why you decided to clean the carbs?
If it does cough back thro the carbs tht proves tht theres fuel in the float chamber and theres also sparks at the plugs....try replacing the spark plugs.
Best too is to check the valve clearance, and also the igntion timing .
Hope this helps!

19 hp. lawn tractor. blowback from the carb.

Well it sounds like the valves are not closing all the way. If you are not familiar with lapping valves, you will need to take it to a shop to get it done.
Good day.

RYOBI RBL-30MVA 30cc when pressing the primer bulb to allow petrol thro, nothing happens? and as its not letting the petrol thro, the leaf blower will not start....any suggestions? thanks ben.

The diaphragm in the carb may need to be replaced. Make sure all your fuel lines are fine. On these inexpensive blowers the fuel lines tend to get brittle and crack and fall apart.

Idle is rough. It sounds like its getting some

You may need to clean out your carb or do a rebuild remove the carb and take it to a bike shop to rebuild wont cost more than 50$ with the carbs removed or a little more with the bike will recomend a good fuel filter after this is done and plugs
