Model: 32A43 Problem: Volume goes UP automatically. Channel scolls automatically. I tried using the remote and the buttons on the tv panel but neither works. I tried turning the TV off with the remote and pressing the POWER on the TV panel but that didnt work either. The only to turn the TV off was unplugging it. Now the TV won't turn on. Please help me troubleshoot the problem. Thank you.

- Thank you so very much for your quick response to my problem. I did what you advised me to do, and it seem to solve for now. The volume buttom still scrolls up automatically every 5 minutes but I was able to lower it after the sign on the TV with the volume disappears from the screen. Once again Thank you.

check the front button plate on the front of the tv very carefully.if it has been hit with something and either or any button is pushed in,it will not listen to other commands.make sure each button has a distinct click when pushed.a frozen button will cause other things not to work.it sounds to me like two buttons are making contact, and they are beside each other,so the button plate is crooked or warped.

As of a few days ago, My TOSHIBA TV MOD.32AF43 has shown a faded image with many horizontal lines across the screen. My TV was purchased probably in the year 2003/2004. I have checked all wires/cables behind the TV and the TV cable entering the house. What could be wrong with the TV? Can is be fixed? Jon
