Question about Dell Latitude 100L Notebook
Wont turn on. when i plug in the chrger cord all the led lights will flash very fast. and if u listen closely u can here a faint clicking noise that goes in beat with the flashing. please help what can i do? i need to know whats wrong so i can fix it.
If you hear the hard disk clicking, most likely you have a faulty hard drive.
Go into the BIOS configuration and see if the BIOS has detected the hard disk, if not this means the hard disk is faulty or the disk controller is faulty.
To determine if the hard disk is faulty, remove the hard disk and connect it to an US hard disk adapter and plug it into a working computer's USB port. If this computer sees this as an external hard disk/external storage device and you can open the various folders and files then the hard drive is OK.
If the hard drive is not detected then it is faulty and you need a replacement hard disk and Windows needs to be installed on this drive to get the Dell operating again.
