Refer to your camera's user manual and hopefully you have a section in that manual that talks about "Release Mode". I have a D90 so I am can only guide you to my research. Hopefully your camera has a release mode section that shows you how to change mode from "single frame" to "continious low speed" to continuous high speed", self timer...and the two that you need will be "delayed remote" and "quick response".
