Can't turn off ALERT - battery low

I've recharged my battery but the screen will not change from the ALERT screen. I thought about taking the battery out but I don't know how.

Taking the battery out should do it. Or maybe just turning it off. To take out the battery, just take the back cover off and pull the battery off.

Your camera is obviously defective. It may have been a return and resold to you. In any case, you should return it immediately....this problem will only get worse.

I just want to know - how will I know when the battery needs to be recharged? I know where the battery level symbol is on the screen but can't find instructions in the booklet as to how low battery is...

It's normally indicated by numbers of bars in your battery symbol. The lower number of bars, the lower the charge. There MAY be a low battery alert symbol that flashes when your battery charge is at a minimum. Make sure you carry fresh batteries with you just in case.

Recharged NIMH batteries (1.4V) are too low in voltage for Wii. Wii immediately signals "Batteries are running low". Are different batteries or a different Rayovac charger needed? Solutions please? Would...

#1 rule for batteries do not overcharge/overvolt, dispose of in fire or throw at your cat unless you like fireworks.

you will need new batteries for your wii, i have a couple of rechargeable wii battery packs that i bought from EB Games they work fine, they hold charge, and they save batteries, my fave part is where you buy 3-4 of them and you have two charging while you use the other two.

also a small tip, the nintendo wii is very anal about voltages, but a pocket flashlight isn't. you can take batteries that refuse to work in your wii and put them in your flashlight.

This camera needs rechargeable batteries usually lasts about a week with much use. I thought what a waste of batteries then tried these rechargable and the situation hasn't occured . it is probably because it is small digtal camera which uses alot of power.
