Question about Apple iPod nano

Ipod nano when i plug in my ipod to the computer itunes does not appear on screen. I tried to run a diagnostics test. Message stated that it could not found the URL. Can you help with this.this is not the first time i have used my ipod I have done this before without a problem. I wanted to change some of the current songs i have. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Just go to control panel then click on maintainence then system and then hardware then clikk on driver manager look at your usb mass storrage or any of them if they have a yellow sign by them you right click and then clikc update driver!

Although the second generation iPod Nano (also known as 2G) uses a four-digit pass code that prevents unauthorized access to your iPod by locking the screen, you can also unlock the device by plugging it into your computer's USB 2.0 port.
When the 2G iPod Nano is connected to the computer it is synchronized, and automatically unlocks the screen according to the official Apple site.
In order to successfully unlock the Nano it must be plugged into the primary computer used for synchronizing content.

Click "Start," "All Programs" and "iTunes" on your PC's desktop, or click "iTunes" on the Macintosh's desktop dock.
Plug the iPod Nano's cable into the docking port on the iPod Nano.
Plug the other end into the USB port on the computer to open iTunes.

Click "Controls" at the top of the iTunes' menu, and select "Eject iPod."
The iPod Nano's screen will be unlocked once it is ejected from your computer.

Well i have forgotten my code and now i cant get in to my ipod nano ???


If you forgot the passcode, then you have to restore your ipod. That will erase everything off the ipod and install a new operating system on it.
Connect your ipod with the computer and open itunes. You might get a message that your ipod is locked. If you wont get any message, then go to Summary Page and click on Restore.
If you get that message, then press and hold the middle and menu buttons on your ipod while it is connected with the computer. Let go both the buttons as soon as an apple logo appears on the screen of ipod.
You'll get a message from itunes on the computer screen, "iTunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode, you must restore your ipod." Click ok for the message and then click on Restore button the screen.

3rd gen ipod nano not showing up in itunes


I tried different computers and cords... I ended up opening iTunes without the iPod and going under Help/Run Diagnostics. I selected to run diagnostics on just the iPod, an error message came up and then it worked. I'm not sure HOW it worked, but it did.

My nano won't restore.


Take it into your nearest Apple Store or Best Buy. It's covered under warranty so it won't cost you. The hard drive needs to be tested on it.

Ipod nano 3rd generation not recognised by computor


Right-click on your desktop, then click the Advanced tab. Then you should see on the lower left where it says screen resolution. Set this to 1024x768. This will allow you to see the setup assistant.

Ipod not recognized by computer or itunes


I struggled with this issue for a while and finally found a post that helped me. Hold menu and the center buttons until the iPod turns off. Then, immediately hold the left and center buttons to pull up the iPod diagnostic menu. Scroll down to the option "Reset" and select it. My iPod was finally recognized by iTunes. Good luck :)

Why isn't the charging icon always animated (flashing)?


For Mac users "When you plug your iPod nano into a power source, the charging icon appears?it's a lightning bolt over a battery. Depending on the state of the battery, it may or may not animate (flash between gray and green). In either case, the icon indicates the battery is charging successfully. When the battery is fully depleted, the iPod nano may not appear in iTunes until it has been charged for about 10 minutes.The non-animated version of the icon, shown above, appears when your battery has been fully or nearly depleted of charge.
