Check the overload/relay which plugs onto the compressor . Best way is to unplug it from the compressor and shake it . Any rattling and it is shorted . Then with an ohm meter , check for continuity between all 3 pins . Then check from pins to copper tubing for to make sure the compressor is not grounded .

Won't cool and freezer wont freeze but fan comes on

For unit to work the compressor motor has to be running! Have to get it to run before anything else. Since fan is running power is not an issue. If there is a starting capacitor, make sure that it it good.

Also make sure that the thermostat is functioning and that power is reaching the compressor.

My playstation just freezes on start up screen and

hello,
"When the PS3 system freezes and wont play, the PS3 system has possibly over heated. This may be caused by poor ventilation or the vents may be blocked."

"If this happens:

• Check to see if the vents are blocked. If the vents are dusty, vacuum the vents to remove the dust.

• If the PS3 system is in an enclosed area like a bookshelf or entertainment center, move it to a more open area.

• Leave the PS3 system off for 30 minutes to let it cool down.

• If you continue to have issues, you will have to send the system in for service."

PS3 GETS HOT AND WONT PLAY MY GAMES

Is your PS3 in an enclosed cabinet, or area where it can't get cool air circulated?
If it's somewhere that can get hot, that's your issue.  Generally, when a device such as a PS3 can't cool down, it shuts itself down from doing anything, to prevent hurting itself.
Try moving the console to a new location, where air can circulate around it.
