I have a ACER TABLET A1.801 with UK default keyboard but I cannot find how too or where is the INPUT KEYBOARD KEY or ICON ALSO ON ALT KEY I want to make changes to predictive text. Thanks David

you may want to see if you set back to manufacture original settings
all tablets have setting but if setup for uk default will you be able to read the instructions to fix the issues.

i would find the manufactures website, go support, see if they have FAQ section, or forum where you ask about the setting or the web site where you can get instruction manual and may be drivers setup for english setting after resetting tablet to manufactures settings

thank you rod

You'll see phone model, software info, IMEI, configuration info, sim lock status, REAL time clock, total call time and text labels.
You can also test your phones services and hardware from this menu (main display, camera, LED/illumination, Flash LED, keyboard, earphone, speaker, microphone, radio and ******** tests)

IMEI Number: *#06#
Lockstatus: <- * * <-
Shortcut to last dialed numbers: 0#
Shortcut to sim numbers: On main menu type a number and press #

If you change the language from default to any other language, then it may be difficult to switch to default language. The shortcut is very simple. Just press < 0000

Keyboard missing

Try deleting the keyboard's data in Settings/Applications. If it still doesn't work, use another keyboard app, and if you can't stand losing your default keyboard, restore your system.

Good luck.

My baby has changed the language on my text input and i cant change it back,, how do i do it?

Xperia X10

To set the phone language:

1. From the Home screen, find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Select locale.
2. Select an option.

Note: The chosen phone language is also the writing language, if not selecting a specific writing language.

To set the writing language:

1. From the Home screen, find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Default input > Writing languages.
2. Select an option.

Useful tip:

* To change the keyboard when you're in a field that requires text or numbers, touch and hold the text bar, then tap Input Method and select an option.
* To enter special characters, such as å, just touch and hold the corresponding letter, and select an option.

I wantd my default.htc keyboard back

Hey there,
To change the keyboard that you use, when your cursor is on something that can be typed (like a text or email) touch the input window and hold it until a window pops up. Select input method and select your default HTC keyboard. That will now be your default keyboard used.

Hope this helps!!

NumLk issue

I found the following at:
http://www.freshmango.com/support/kb/office-business-programs/windows-xp/xp-numlock-issue-on-login-startup/

This should do the trick...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
After some search I discovered that the Numlock control status can be controlled using a registry key which can be found here:
HKEY_USERS \ .DEFAULT \ Control Panel \ Keyboard \ InitialKeyboardIndicators
Simply change the value to either 0 for off or 2 for on.
  1. Start the Registry Editor
  2. Go to Start
  3. Select Run
  4. Type regedit
  5. Work through the tree to get to HKEY_USERS \ .DEFAULT \ Control Panel \ Keyboard
  6. If the key “InitialKeyboardIndicators” already exists then change its value to the appropriate number, if not, add a new key called “InitialKeyboardIndicators” with the appropriate value.
  7. Click OK
  8. Restart
For the lazier amongst you, simply copy and paste the code below in to a text file (in notepad), save it as "FixMySoddingNumlock.REG", close notepad and double click the file:
To make the Numlock OFF by default use: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard]
"InitialKeyboardIndicators"="0"
To make the Numlock ON by default use: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard]
"InitialKeyboardIndicators"="2"

Dell Keyboar Problem -

This likely is one of two issues. A BIOS setting, and can be changed in the BIOS setup utility accessible at startup.

Or ...

If you are sure you have no computer virus or a hardware conflict than you can modify this setting by editing the registry on the computer. Normally, the computer applies the user settings when the user logs on, but it uses the default user profile when it is first turned on, before the user has logged on. To turn this functionality off, the default user settings must be modified. The Keyboard entry contains user preferences as defined by choosing the Keyboard icon in Control Panel. Entries are found under this registry path:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard
InitialKeyboardIndicators REG_SZ Number set it default to 0.

If not:

* Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).
* Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard (If the Keyboard key isn't there, add it.)
* Double-click the InitialKeyboardIndicators value on the right. (If it's not there, select New from the Edit menu, then String Value, and type InitialKeyboardIndicators for the name of the new value.)
* Change the value to any of the following:
0 - all indicators off
1 - Caps Lock on
2 - Num Lock on
4 - Scroll Lock on
Or, combine them by adding the corresponding values:
3 - Caps Lock and Num Lock on
5 - Caps Lock and Scroll Lock on
6 - Num Lock and Scroll Lock on
7 - Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock on
* Close the Registry Editor when you're done.

All the change should take effect when next time you start Windows.
