You may need to do a hard reset. Hold the power button for 30 secs and then wait a few secs and turn the system on. Hope it helps.

Try playing any other disc and check. If the issue persists, try resetting the player. Remove the battery pack of the player, then after a minute reconnect the battery pack and check if it helps. If the issue persists, then the player requires service.

maybe the spindle motor is defective so it cannot read the disc. just bring that your dvd to sony service center to fix your dvd.

it sound like a miss connection maybe should check out the flex between the screen and main board

If it is disc made with a computer, you may need to convert the format to one that the DVD player is compatible with so it will recognize the disc contents.

There should be a tiny hole that you can get a paper clip through on your DVD this hole leads to a manual release mechanism that should open the DVD drawer. I hope this helps

Check to see if the disc is spinning. You can do this by one of two ways either

• a:) Listen for the disc to spin after inserting it or
• b:) Place disk in drive right way up (so that the label is not upside down). Load the disc and eject the disc again to se if the disc has moved i.e. the writing may now be upside down.

If the disc does not spin then it is likely that there is something wrong with the disc motor. If it does spin then the issue is more likely to be with the laser unit. Try cleaning the lens but if this doesn't help it's likely to be a more serious and ultimately more expensive problem.
