ok first you need to go to the status page in itunes and hit "restore". if that page is not present due to the pass code, i recommend taking it to the apple store nearest to you. they can help you there and unlock it.

hold home for five seconds then while holding home put in your usb connecter while its connected to the computer and it will be put in recovery mode from there restore it and put your music back in!

well you can conpleatly restore it by no luging it in and holding the power buton for 3 seconds then with out leting go of the power buton hold the home buton for 10 seconds then let go of the power buton and just hold the home buton for a further 30 seconds.....
after you have done this plug it in to your computer with iTunes allready running and a icon should say unresponcive ipod or somethin along those lines just click RESTORE
