I didn't see where anyone had replied to this. II ordered a replacemtn door this morning frmo Fuji. Around $13 including shipping.

It's a plastic overlay cover which can be replaced. It's held in place by double sided tape. Fuji can do it for you, or you can see if someone can order the part for you. Fuji Canada has a policy to not sell parts to consumers to install, because there's been lots of problems with people trying to install the part and damaging the camera even further. Now the consumer blames Fuji for a bad part, and for the subsequent damage to their camera. Better to let Fuji (or a qualified shop) handle it for you.

My 4 year old S7000 just started the same thing. I read it is the CCD. I'm taking it in today.

This is a chip problem... My FIRST S7000, had this problem, and I had it replaced by Fuji {out of warranty}, now today, the SECOND S7000 is doing the exact same thing!

Contact Fuji at their New Jersey offices for info on how to get your camera repaired.

If it is 'relatively' new then the best place is the place you bought from- under UK legislation they are responsible to repair or replace. If you are not in the UK then look up the Fuji website for your country- technical help. there is possibility they will direct you to a suitable place.
