I am trying to locate the plastic cover that goes in the middle of the black lid. Don't know the correct term for this part but it's the piece the you can take off and pour stuff in to the pitcher as it is running.

The piece is called a "filler-cap"--that round, clear twist in part with teeny 1oz and 2oz markers inside. There is a used one for sale with the lid that may possibly fit your blender on the cheap at http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-HAMILTON-BEACH-BLENDER-REPLACEMENT-GLASS-JAR-LID-with-FILLER-CAP-BLACK-/161614461759?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a0f8fb3f For an unused replacement, try typing in your model number at HB's parts site, located by clicking here . Many www sites like abtecparts.com and goodmans.net could help you. Besides matching description, I would match the pictures of what you are going for against what you've got as much as possible. Good luck!

The blender we bought called that piece the measuring cup, It has increments measuring liquid by the ounce. I am not trying to over simplify but the manufacturer whether on line or on the phone often they have a replacement parts list. The web is the best place and usually has the list attached to the model.

Why won't my ninja blender turn on? The red light is blinking, but power is connected and lid is secure.

try rotating the container part 1/4 of a turn to line up slots and press down . then if it does not blend turn another 1/4 turn to line up slots and press down pushing container into base motor unit .
container and screw on blade lid is put in upside down and the plastic posts have to match the base unit to turn on the blender when you press down on container into base unit.

I own and use a ninja blender !.

Why wont my kitchenaid foodprocessor start?

Take the bowl off, turn it on in the centre at the front where the base of the handle would normally be there is a light coloured button/plastic piece. Push it in with a matchstick. If the motor now starts then you have a problem with the safety switching mechanism in either the bowl or the lid. It is more often the lid. The only solution is to replace the faulty part. Easiest is go to a service agent and buy whichever part solves the problem.

In dire need for a lid and power cord for this blender

Power cord is pretty standard for appliances/desktop PCs/printers. I would try the local Goodwill, they all have a wall with cords for every manner of appliance. On any given day, my local Goodwill has them in black and grey. Or any electronics store will have them.

As far as the lid - I'm not sure if you lost/broke the entire thing or just the plastic cap in the center. That Jenn-Air center plastic piece is easily broken. Your local Ace Hardware or True value sells replacement Blender cap inserts. Glass center with aluminum washer/nut that screws on from below. Looks better than original and won't yellow.

Cuisinart DFP-14 Series does not start

First, do a motor test by removing the work bowl completely and using a pen to press in the grey button on top of the base (with the food processor plugged in and turned on of course), toward the back. If the processor spins, the motor is still good. At that point, I would inspect the work bowl pieces, lid, pusher assembly, etc for cracks/damage. If all appears well, insert ALL the pieces back into place and try again. For the DFP-14, remember: handle faces front, feed tube faces back, and metal element on back of pusher faces back of processor. Connect the pieces separately - if you try to put the work bowl on with the lid and pusher already attached, it will not always lock properly. If even one piece is out of place, the processor will not spin.

If it no longer spins, the motor has a problem.

Good luck!
