Sims Deluxe and expansion pack installation problems

I installed the Sims Deluxe on my computer and the Vacation expansions and it worked fine. then I installed Hot Date and House Party and put in the deluxe disk and it said it needed to install something over top of it. It then proceeded to uninstall everything. Am I installing things wrong?
