Question about Skull Candy Icon Headset
Well you know how the skull candy head phone cord is soo long well it got caught on to a sliding door one time and fell off my head i dont see in the cord a rip or tear and could it possibly be the fall off my head. i dont hear any sounds out of my headphones
The wires can easily break inside the insulation without showing it outside. The good news I'm about 99% sure it isn't in the headset or at least one would work.
So, can you see any markings where it got caught in the door? If so I would cut the cable a couple of inches towards the headset from there and install a new plug . The plug is wired as follows: bare coppers both go to the contact that leads to the large sleeve on the plug. The other two wires each go to one ot the other two contacts. A little solder and you're on your way again.
