It could be many things. Check the lint filter first. You might try checking under the drum where the blower assembly is at for excessive lint build up, check for air gaps in the drum chamber where air can get through. Check the fins of the blower wheel. This blower pulls the air through the drum from the element. The heating element my be burned out or the thermocouple (Temp Sensor) or the circuitry has malfunctioned, the microprocessor firmware has a "bug", Is the dryer on "Fluff" or no heat setting? Make sure it is set on Auto Dry or Permanent Press. Still no heat? If you are handy at disassembly/reassembly then you could check the resistance of the heating element disconnected from the leads. It should read between 10 and 15 ohms. The pre-heat thermistor may be open as well. Unless you are experienced in testing live systems I would take it to your friend who does this stuff for fun or a living. Please check the lint factor, the settings, and then the elemnt. Post again with your findings and we will work from there. Good luck to you!

TUMBLE DRIER STOPPED HEATING

Gas dryer?

If so, probably bad gas solenoid valves. They can safely be replaced without fear of releasing gas. Two phillips screws, two pull off wire plugs. That's it. Cost about $30 bucks depending on where you buy them. They are a universal part and will fit 99.9% of machines.

Drier does not tumble but it still heats.

Hi,

Sound like the belt being broken or slipping badly, burn out motor, or worn support parts.
  • Dryer have a belt that rotate the drum, If the belt worn out or broken, it can not move the drum then you just need to replace it.
  • You can check motor by hearing buzzing sound, if the belt has the problem. If you do not hear any sound from the motor then you may have to replace it.
  • Try to move drum manually (by hand), if it is hard to turn then problem with the idler pulley, glides, or drum rollers.
I hope this will solve you problem

Good luck and have a nice day
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.
