TV will not turn on

Just do a hard reset to this set and check. To make it a hard reset, unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. On majority of flat panel tv's these days, there are two major components inside and some flat ribbon cables.
In your case it seems like your mother board or main board as it is called is somehow damaged due to either power or static surge.
The board needs to be replaced. You can sometimes get them on e bay. The price varies.
Before you start, make sure the power cord is removed from the T.V.
To replace, you have to place the TV flat screen side down then remove ALL the screws. There are few really small ones for power cord and where the connectors are.
Then you literally have to pray the back off. If you do not know what you are doing, you can brake the plastic covering.
If you do manage to take the back off, the main board is green, usually on the right side as you are looking down. Remove ALL cables gently but firmly, making sure you know HOW to remove them. Then remove the screws that secure the board. Replace the board, screw it back on then replace the cables in their exact places.
Replace the back cover and insert ALL the screws back on. and WHALLA. you are done. LOL.

Do a hard reset to this set, and check. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.
