Memory card

Cameras generally do not come with memory cards, as the camera manufacturer doesn't know what size card you prefer.

Memory cards are widely available in a range of sizes and speeds. You should be able to get them at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Just make sure you get one that's compatible with your camera.

What size memory card do you want to use? You can use any SD/SDHC card up to 32GB in size.

Is there another memory card besides an xd that can be used in the s7000 camera?

Not a memory card, but something called a MicroDrive, which is actually a miniscule disk drive in a package about the size of a memory card. I don't know if these are even made anymore, though, and in any case, the largest size compatible with this camera is 1GB. You can easily get an XD card that size instead.

I have a kodak easy share C315 the message keeps telling me to reformat the memory card, I say ok and then it gives me an error. I tried to reformat in the computer but I don;t know how. The memory card is...

Maybe it is having trouble with the size of the memory. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards. It is often difficult to find out the maximum capacity a camera will use, as today's memory cards are much larger that those available when the manual for the camera was written.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible. If the card you are trying to format is above 2GB, it will be an SDHC card.

Bought a new camera card for my easyshare camera C315 5.0 megapixels keeps saying it must format then gives me an error e00100 what does this mean?

first, i need to know the size of your memory card. The C315 only supports up to 2 GB memory cards. It could also mean that the card is defective, try using another memory card. Memory cards have up to 5 years warranty. Check with the store where you purchased the card.

After taking 20 photos says memory card is full

You did not mention the make or model of the camera. Your symptoms seem to indicate you are using internal memory rather than the card. Card typically hold from 200-2,000 high quality photos (depending on the size of the card and the camera).

Another possibility is that you have a high end camera and are shooting in the RAW format. RAW is only for the more experienced users who post process their work. If this is the case switch to JPG.

Note reducing the picture size only makes the pictures lower quality and is only useful if you only post them on the web.
