ATi radeon HD4650 issue

So I have a HP Pavilion a1726x running 3GB RAM, 2.8GHz proc, 320GB HDD, 500W ps upgraded today. I'm trying to get an ATi Radeon HD4650 video card to work. I disabled the onboard video and hooked up the card, but nothing will post. I've tried every configuration possible and have had no joy. Any suggestions?

Hi there,

First enable you onboard video the connect your monitor to it. Insert you ATi video card in the mother board. Boot up. Install the ATi driver. Shutdown. Trasfer the monito to ATi video card. Then enjoy with you new vedeo card!

cheers!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Graphics are always going to be the hangup with ratings.
A large processor is grate but will display alot of heat. Heat and time kills.
Which ever you purchase, I would get an extended warranty.
Check the pros and cons on the internet first.

Tested first with one new module with 2GB RAM, then with 2 modules, 2GB (new) + 1GB (original). Post and Windows are showing 3GB.

VIA CPU to AGP Problem with 3Gb and Vista

Hi,
Chances are good that your third 1gig memory module is faulty. Windows blue screen of death at startup is a typical symptom of faulty RAM memory.
Try replacing the third 1gig DIMM with another of the same type.
Let me know if this works or not.

Diamond Radeon HD3870, 512MB DDR4

According to ATI this is a known issue. They refer problems to microsoft about this error as they say it is an o/s issue. Microsoft refers you back to ATI saying it is a thermal issue. I have an ATI card as well & have the same problem. Hopefully the next driver will fix this issue when released. Hope this helps.

HP Pavilion zd8000 Upgrades

i have the same laptop. though your video card is independent, it is still integrated into the system and cannot be upgraded, your only be there is to go to the Radeon website and download the latest drivers for it.(it helps) As for your Ram, you can only upgrade to 2 mb of ddr2.(on mine it made a noticable difference) As far as the hd goes i believe sky is the limit, i went from 100 gb to 160 no problem

HP Pavilion DV2000 running very slowly

Yes! I would not recommend anything below 2GB at minimum. I have one laptop with 2GB and one with 3GB: they both open programs and browse the internet very quickly. Even with just two programs open (Internet Explorer and Outlook 2007) it uses 1.1GB of memory.

Definitely upgrade your memory. I recommend this site:
http://www.4allmemory.com/

Just pick your model and they recommend the memory to pruchase. TIP: order with next day shipping - it's only $10. The free shipping takes 14 days. So unless you're patient (I'm not) the $10 many be worth it.
