My son's next book 8 has a small pinhole on the back left side. Yours may have one as well. Insert a paperclip and depress the reset button. Hope this works for you.
Look on back of the tablet and see if there is tiny tiny tiny little hole at the bottom that has the word rest by it. Youwill have to find a paper clip or a needle to stick in there and reset it.
After you get it unfrozen, do the hard reset again but be sure to keep holding the buttons until you get the reset menu.
Yes, you'll need a 3.5 mm audio cable (PC audio) with M/M ends. Connect the cable between the headphone jack of the Next Book and the Aux Input of the Rave speaker. The Aux Input jack on the speaker is between the charging port and the On/Off switch. The headphone jack is between the power button and the DC Power Input port on some Next Book models; you should check your unit's documentation for the exact location. Only the volume controls on the Rave speaker will work. You'll need to select tracks and press Play/Pause on the Next Book.
Hi. I also had that problem whenever I let my Samsung tablet battery run totally flat. It takes some time before the tablet starts showing a charging indication on the screen when plugged into a wall socket. You need to leave your unit overnight to charge, then try to switch it on the next morning. Press the power button for at least 3 seconds. I don't know if this will also apply to your unit, but give it a try.
