8 megapixel! Keep in mind there are a lot of consumer level cameras out there that have more but those consumer cameras just don't compare to the quality of this one!

Would it be worth the money to fix the broken flash on my camera it'e the Sony Cyber-shot 12.1 megapixles I paid $135 for it at the Sony outlets 2 years ago?

Not sure where you are in the world but in Canada the repair would be about $80.00 plus our taxes so it's iffy on repair. I'd suggest not repairing and invest in newer technology. Also I'd keep the camera you have for an outdoor camera I'd beat the heck out of a cell phone grab shot. When looking for a replacement I would suggest looking into Olympus, Canon, Nikon and Pentax models. The newer compact cameras have tons of features so you really need to research them. Cheers best of luck with your new camera

Have a canon rebel xt. pictures are fussy when enlarged. have told that the sensors need to be adjusted. is this correct? if so how

I don't know what you mean when you say your pics are "fussy". Did you mean fuzzy? you can go into the menu and find an entry for "picture quality". There you can select a higher quality (I always use the highest because you never know when you might like to enlarge a picture).

For megapixles

300K. Works out to 640x480. Better off capturing video and extracting stills from the captured stream, you can get up to DV quality stills that way (720x576 DV PAL).

Can't see full picture after taking it

Hi

First thing I would do is reset all the options back to the default settings. Now try taking a picture again? Is it working properly?

I was going to check through the settings on an XT for you, but I grabbed my XT and it's not turning on... I thought the only problem with it was I needed to replace the CF reader pins but now I can't remember... Sorry I cant help much more until I get my XT to power again.

Changing the resolution on my camera before i go to photoshop

using the RAW setting will give a higher quality photo, the other formats compress to jpeg causing you to loose some of the original photo information. the ZoomBrowser EX program allows you to edit the RAW image, I recommend getting the large prints done at Kinkos or some place like that. I've gotten poster size prints done that look very clear. Use a tripod to combat camera shake, it is very apperent at that size of print. Also a low ISO to help reduce noise.

Megapixles

See page 45 of your users manual. This shows how to adjust the resolution and compression setting of the image captured. The lower the resolution, and higher the compression, the more images you can fit on your memory card. However, there is a trade off of image quality.

Taking photo's requiring the flash.

the flash housing unit is stucked!!  Try to do this: use around 3 inches sticky tapes like scotch tape or masking tape, stick the 1/3 part on the flash housing unit , now set the release button while pulling the tape upward, do not apply too much force, you are trying to help the housing to go upward not to detached it, ha ha..( the sticky tape is safe to use, dont worry). It always work but in case it does not work from your unit try this dangerous one, using small metal and pressing the release button try to open the door ( yes, like opening the stucked door!), its dangerous that yo might detached the housing from the unit, so be carefull.
