Run virus scan on your computer immediately. I would run a full scan using your anti-virus.

Internet Explorer is a part of the Windows operating system and cannot be removed via add/remove programmes. You need it to receive windows updates even though you may use a different browser for web surfing etc.

As you seem to have been doing the impossible may I suggest you try a system restore and get IE working again Then download another browser (firefox is good) and then make that one the default (it normally asks).

Failing that reinstall your system and start again but this time don't try to remove IE.

F11 doesn't work as fullscreen toggle for Windows 8

Have you tried the fn key (bottom left, next to ctrl key)?

On my HP laptop running Windows 8.1, pressing f11 mutes the speaker (as per the logo on the key top) and fn+f11 in IE & Firefox toggles full screen.

At start up go to the BIOS by selecting the proper F key. When in the BIOS mode look for instructions at the top or bottom of the screen to hit F keys like F10 for System Recovery.

I try to log onto facebook & it keeps shutting down my internet explorer.

Just to get a baseline on where your problem is, you might download a new browser (shouldn't take long) and try from there.

If it works, then you'll probably just want to re-install IE or stay with the other browser.

I recommend you try downloading and installing Firefox (www.mozilla.com/firefox/)

M$ Internet Exploder 7 shuts down: Assert in LSP error popup

Your google desktop add-on is causing the problem. Try to start IE7 without add-ons. Right Click your IE7 Icon and start without add-ons, or go:

Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons)

Or type in this command at Start > Run

iexplore.exe -extoff

This will start IE7 without all the toolbars or add-ons that you can download or add to your Internet Explorer.

Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall the Google Toolbars/Desktop programs then try to start IE7 normally again.

Getting message stating add-on was running when problem occurred

Try going into your control panel & uninstall your Internet explorer, then re-install it. IE7 uninstall can be found in the main add-remove program window, IE6 uninstall can be found under the add-remove windows components part of the add-remove programs. To re-install IE7, though, you need to go to windows update to download IE7 again. This won't be a problem because uninstalling IE7 automaticaly returns you to IE6

I need to get instructions as to ho2w to uninstall Exporer and reinstall to try to correct a reliability issue

To avoid possible headaches from interference, I suggest you uninstall in Safe Mode:
Turn your PC on or Restart. As soon as you see the black and white screen, press and hold the F8 key. Continue holding until you see a black and white menu. Safe Mode is F3 or F5.

Uninstall IE7
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Add or Remove Programs. 3. Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7, click it, and then click Change/Remove.
If for some reason Windows Internet Explorer 7 does not appear in the Add or Remove Programs you should:
1. Open Windows Explorer 2. Click Tools | Folder Options 3. Click the View tab 4. Make sure the radio button next to Show hidden files and folders is on  5. Click OK 6. Click Start, and then click Run 7. Type: %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe into the text box and click Enter
If you find yourself still needing help uninstalling Internet Explorer 7, check out the IE7 release notes found on the Microsoft MSDN Web site.

This solution on average add 10 new worksheets in less than 5 sec.
Hold down shift key, then hit F11 as many time as many sheet you want to add
Other than SHIFT+F11, ALT+SHIFT+F1 also Insert a new worksheet, it's just to you which is more convenient.
