Brian Neil here from Dark Side Reelz, the washers that feel off sound like they are the spacing washers responsible for the travel height of the spool. If they came off the main shaft immediately after you removed the spool it self that has to be what they are. on the shaft under the spool itself there should be a small gear that the washers sit on, the gear controls the clicker on the drag if this reel in fact has one. I did a quick search of my schematics and did not find a match if the schematic didn't come in the original boxing chances are youre going to need to contact the manufacturer directly. Drag factory installed for left-hand wind. To change your real to right-hand wind, remove spool, pull the keyed bush and clicker plate assembly off the spindle. Flip the clutch bearing (silver) and reassemble.
with fuel at around 8lb to the gallon you are putting in only 2 gallons and as most of this goes into the reservoir compartment for the fuel pump it is possible that the tank is empty as far as the gauge is concerned.. Try filling the tank to see what the difference is and if it still plays up replace the sender unit in the tank
