Why would you want to restore manufacturer's setting? If it is a matter of securely removing files then the above option would be of no help as they could still be recovered to a large extent.

There are programmes to securely remove files available the best being East Tec Erase, or just replace the HDD and start afresh.

What are you trying to do and why?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How do i get to the recovery partion on compaq armada m700

Dear Lizanne,

To get to the recovery partition on your Compaq Armada M700, turn on the notebook and press F11 repeatedly until "Windows is loading files..." displays on the screen. Then, follow the on-screen instructions.

If your notebook originally came with Windows XP or an earlier version of Windows, try pressing F10 to enter recovery instead of F11.

Hope you may find these instructions useful!

Best regards,

Miguel L. Martins

Can i restore my compaq presario cq60 notebook to factory setting without cd ? its vista

hi.
there are two ways to completely restore settings of a computer:
1- enter Bios of your notebook (by pressing "delete" repeatedly") and select restore to manufacturer's settings.(or load from manufacture settings). THIS CAN RESTORE SETTINGS OF YOUR HARDWARE.

2- for restoring settings of Windows:
restart your notebook and before windows starts up (showing "windows starting") press F8 repeatedly.
then choose "load from last good configuration".

Company is replacing all such batteries. Its a manufacture defect found in your series laptops and Lenevo laptops. So don't panic and just consult compaq customer support for replacement.
