Why won't my McColloch 3200 chainsaw start?

I have a McColloch 3200 chainsaw. It will not start. I followed all the instructions on the label. Cleaned the spark plug. Removed the spark plug then pulled the cord and no spark was visable. Why won't it start?

If you have properly checked for a spark, and it appears, not to,,.
Then you need to adjust the gap, between the contact and the magneto.
The problem is the timing.
If that, does it, be sure to rate me well.
I wish you good luck with that;)

Lemmingleejn did not explain to you how to adjust the magneto, (not like adjusting plug), a pro needs to do that or check the plug to see it it was good. It is cheep to just buy a new one as cleaning an old one is ok but a minute crack in the porcelain is easily missed and the spark bypasses the eye and can also bypass by an improper cleaning(bigest mstake is using a wire brush to brush it with, all you do is put a metal coating on the porcelain creating a direct short and no spark, duh! Proper cleaning fluids, not gasolene. The mag should never adjustment unless you left it outside submurged in sluck for years. Also big mistake is old fuel as most people never drain and leave the old fuel from last year in it and wonder why it will not start in the summer a year later. Sorry to be strong minded with you but there is a proper way and misinformation only gets you in deeper and causes more work for you. Always drain the gas out and run it dry if you are not going to use it with in the next month or so, save you a lot of heartake, this holds true with any gas engine. Also change the case oil every year, ok, good luck!

Need sparkplug gap for McCULLOCH 3200

If you go to NGKsparkplugs.com, go to the tab at the top labeled 'part finder', select chainsaw, select MCCulloch, 3200 series...you get that it is .025 and the plug should be a BPM6F if using a regular NGK plug. Hope this helps...

Accidentally place oil in gas/mix chamber. cleaned it out but chainsaw won't start.

Take the sparkplug out and clean it off. If you have a torch heat up the cylinder then reinstall plug.

What is the oil/gas ratio for a McColloch "Titan

40:1 is the ratio for modern saws so I expect it's the same for the older ones. Use good 2 stroke oil like Husqvarna or Stihl brands rather than the cheaper stuff you can buy at car service stations which don't really protect a saw.

If you do not have a vise a large C clamp to a work surface might work, you may still need a block or two of wood.

remove side cover, bar & chain.above bar mounting studs find a oblong channel that lines up w/ the small holes in the bar.clean everything, sawdust gets packed in the holes.if it leaks oil out the bottom, you need to replace the oil feed line fom the tank.
