Re: No Picture

Your LCD panel assy may have problem. Try to replace the scaler board or inverter board if you can find spare parts. Otherwise you may need to replace the whole LCD panel assy.

Sharp Aquos LC-70LE550U I have sound from the TV but no Picture

A service manual to get for it and allways re-soldering the suppression coils is the next possibillity that can have problems on the backlicht inverterboard.
solder and disconnect as clean sometimes the insulation coating is not properly removed from the wires to be soldered.
Sometimes the factory solder bath was not heat enough and or to short.

My sharp LC-40E67UN will not show picture. The tv turns on but no picture checked wires everything ok. Please help!

Connect the TV to any other video source, ie, from a VCR or DVD player. Check whether the working is perfect both with picture and sound. It's needn't to say, that you have to select proper input selecction. If the TV woks fine now, make sure that the RF stage circuit has the fault.

Try to check first the cables that connect to your tv and dvd if their is a loosed connection that will be the cause, or replace the audio video wire you are using.

My Samsung DVD TV 15G10 is 3 years old and has functioned perfectly until the other day when I turned it on to view and since have had only sound and no picture. Grateful for any thoughts on how to...

firstly i dont know how the video is hooked up to tv - so if what i recommend doesnt work i would suggest giving more details

if video is hooked up to tv through component video (red, green, blue wires) try checking the green wire- if green wire is bad you will get no video on your screen you can try using one of the other wires to test if you dont have a new component video wire to try

secondly if that doesnt work try hooking the source up to a different input on tv and see if that works

next i would try another source for your video to be hooked up to tv ( maybe a dvd player or something like that)

if all of those tries dont work you might either have had the bulb for the back light go bad ( backlight bulb is usually a flourescent light bulb and it makes the screen get bright so you can see it) or the power supply for either the backlight bulb or the video high voltage go bad in which case i would recommend bringing in for service or just buying a new replacement (they are fairly cheap to buy new now so it might be a better alternative to a repair)

sometimes you can tell if it is backlight problem by making room very dark and look carefully at screen to see if you can see a picture on it - if you see a faint picture on screen then it is definately your backlight that went out

if you need more help write back with as many details you can give me about what wires you have connected things to tv with and what sources you have connected to tv also

good luck!

Tv stopped playing sound. picture still perfect but no sound when watching tv or dvd???

If Your television keeps showing the picture and has no sound, then it means there is a problem somewhere. First check if the television is not in mute mode by pressing the increase volume button from Your remote. Once You have checked the volume and seen that the problem is not from the volume control. If that is confirmed not to be the problem. Then it means the sound IC of the television is bad. To replace the sound IC, please follow the steps below.
  1. Power off Your television,
  2. Unplug it and leave it to rest for about 6 hours, because television stores high currents, so leaving it will dissipate the high current,
  3. Get a screwdriver, a glove a cup and a replacement sound IC,
  4. Wear the gloves and unscrew the screws behind the television to take off the back cover,
  5. Trace the wires that are from the speakers to main board where it is connected to,
  6. Then You See the panel it is connected to, that is the sound IC,
  7. Disconnect it and replace it with a new one,
  8. Reverse the process to reassemble the television back together,
  9. Power on the television and try to play anything that has sound.
You can the television to a deck and use it as an auxilliary for Your television.
Hope this helped. Thank You for using FixYa!!!

Sound Problem

the audio amp inside the main module is fried. It needs to be replaced, make sure you get the exact numerical match for the circuit board. and inspect the flip side for no signs of burnt cicuits. replace that, and you will no longer have problems.
