Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook
Will reformat on Dell Inspiron 1525 erase settings, pictures ect without backup to an external harddrive? and what is procedure to reformat?
Yes, a reformat wipes the disk clean. There are special programs for this. The Dell recovery CD's (DVD's) will have the program. The usual command is "Format C: /v" without the quotes. The /v tells the program to verify every sector as it formats. Back up every thing that you need first as there are no second chances.
