I have not been able to get the micro sd card function to work. I insert the card, power on using the MF button, hold down the micro sd power button until the green light appears - but then nothing - no sound. All audio on the 64gb card is in mp3 format... not sure why it's not working.
I didn't know they made "real" 64 gigabyte micro SD. Get a 7 GB SD card and try again. They do make 12GB and 20GB micro SD cards but they are expensive.

Not sure what you've tried so far, but have you downloaded and installed the firmware update? You will have to download it to a Micro SD card using a computer. Once you have it downloaded, insert the card in you tablet then to a hard start up. Do this by holding the power button and the volume down button at the same time. You will be asked what you would like to do. Select install upgrade from SD card. Once that is done, restart tablet. Good luck!
You're going to have to do a hard reset...THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON THE PHONE (not the sd card) Make sure the phone is off, hold the power button, volume down and the back button (third button from the left on the bottom) AT THE SAME TIME, hold and wait, once your in the back menu use the volume button to scroll down to factory reset use the power button to select, use the power button again to scroll down to yes, and power button to select, just wait, with will shut down and turn itself back on, takes about 5 minutes to restore function. (I worked for Cricket for a long time and I know the phone well)
First, try a soft reset. Do this by pressing the center button and the up volume button simultaneously and try turning it on. If that does not work for you, you will need to get a micro sd card (it can be a dummy) and insert it into the slot on the side of the mp3 player. If you do not have one, you can use one of the round edges of a paper clip (be careful) to get it to come on. When you put either in, it should come on automatically, but if not, just press the power button. This should work.

kk to add music make sure you syn the phone and the cp do the data and all then put .mp3 on all the media files and see if it works. Then if that doesnt go to computor format the card and then put it in the phone. Otherwise you need new stuff.
If you want to put music files from your laptop onto your LG Shine, you can either use a LG USB cable or a Micro SD Card. The Micro SD card will probably need an additional adapter to have it big enough for your Laptop or PC slot. Once the music files are on the Micro SD card, insert the card into your LG Shine and go to My Stuff". Then, select "Audio and ringtones" and select the file on your memory card. Press the "Options" button and select the copy function and paste it into your phone.
