How do you manually program known frequencies in a Uniden BC350C scanner? There are no numerals to key in.

Sorry, but your BC350C is an oddball that does not allow manual programming. You have to lock on to a freq in the SCAN or SEARCH mode, and then move it to the PRIVATE bank. Details are in the operating manual which you can download and print, at no cost, here:

Is there any way to scan several bands (fire,

Sorry, but the BC350C will only allow you to scan or search one band at a time. As you identify active frequencies in the different bands though, you can transfer (program) up to 50 frequencies into the PRIVATE band, and then scan the combined list. Need more info on your scanner? If you don't already have it, you can download/print the BC350C operating manual here:

How do you program the bc350c scanner

Conventional frequency programming is fairly simple, but programming trunk systems is more detailed and can't be adequately covered in this forum. Please follow the link below - it will allow you to download/print the manual for your 350c, and the manual will walk you through the programming steps.

Hi, About a month or so ago, our local Police can't be heard on our scanner anymore. Did they change the frequency? Do they have a new one?

I don't know your location, but it's possible that your local police have upgraded to a trunked radio system. If that's the case you will not be able to monitor them on the BC350C. You can visit www.uniden.com for information on their complete line of trunking scanners.

How do i clear all channels and start over putting in new ones

There is no global clear/erase function on the BC350C, but programming a new frequency on a channel automatically deletes/erases the old frequency. To delete an inactive or troublesome frequency, program "000.0" in that channel. Doing so will deleted the previously programmed frequency and set the LOCKOUT to ON for that channel. For more information on deleting frequencies, see page 27 of your operating manual.

Need the manual? You can download it here:

Either you are out of range for receiving the other side of the conversation or you are attempting to monitor a trunked radio system.

Does my scanner trunk???

Your scanner does not do trunking. However, you should be able to monitor Dallas PD using it, since they are not using a trunked system. Richardson PD is using a EDACS system, which is trunked. You may still be able to pick up the frequencies used by Richardson, but the PD channels will be mixed in with all other users of the system.
