Too early, unless you took more than 10 years to reach that mileage. Consider both car age and distance travelled, I woud guess at least 75 - 100.00 km or every 7 - 10 years (whichever comes first), but do consult your maintenance manual - should that give shorter intervals, these apply.

Consequences are way less severe than failing to change motor or transmission fluid.

Your owner's manual contains a section for maintenance & safety checks. Depending on your vehicle's maintenance history, you may not have to change any fluids at this time. As a rule of thumb, every 30,000 miles you should change trans fluid/lube and cooling system flush every 2 years. Brake & power steering fluid need only be checked for minimum level and inspect system components if fluid levels are below minimum.

This could be a few other things: try these: (have a diagnostics test done at a local auto parts dealer or mechanic (auto parts dealer will usually do it for free and only takes abotu 10 mintes).

1. O2 sensor(s) : replace

2. temperature gauge sensor

3. oil pressure sensor (regulator)
