Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others

1 Answer

I am getting really frustrated, I paid $10.00 to use this and no one seems to know what I am talking about...A SCREEN TENT....I lost my instructions on how to set it up.It's an Avid screen tent(no longer in stock).A Zipper on 2 sides to get in and white numberded poles to set it up from inside. It looks like the "Westview Screen Arbor" one made by Texsport I believe. I need it for a party tomorrow...please help!!!

If it has molded pole joints like the Westview it should be fairly simple but in any case try this procedure. Assemble the four horizontal roof pieces on the ground using the 3-way connectors at the corners. Attach the four roof riser poles to the four corners and then together at the top (using a 4-way connector. Put the canopy on top of the pyramid that the poles form. Lift one corner and insert a long corner support pole into the connector and into the pocket at the base of the canopy. Do the same for each corner. When all four corners are raised stake down the cables from each corner about 3 feet out. Attach the canopy to the poles inside using the velcro straps or ties. Zip the sides closed, adjust the position of the poles and tighten/loosen the cables to trim the arbor up. Enjoy your party.

The shortest poles should be for the roof pyramid. The longest poles ( 9 or 10 ft. if it is a 10 X 10 arbor) should be for the square frame. The middle sized poles (about 8 ft.) for the corner supports. If the poles are collapsible then you should be able to put similarly numbered poles together to make the approximate sizes shown above. If there are no pockets for the bottom of the corner poles just set them on the ground.

Just when you are looking for simple instructions, I come along. 1st I cannot locate instructions and don't believe the tent is still made. 2nd, the Alps Chaos 3 person tent setup is a uTube clip that may suffice. 3rd, there are various tips here that suggest the best setup for this tent. 4th and lastly, the zippers seem to be subject to leaking plus it is probably a good idea to have some sealant handy to reseal seams probably as a preventative. It is better to know now rather than be caught in a storm.

I have a rugged exposure 3 person dome tent called the prospector and we lost the instructions and don't know where the poles with just three sticks goes

the 2 long sticks are for the crossover main tent half loops, the other thicker ones are used for the tent cover that shades the exposed open window openings
