Has the fuse blown on my machine? It doesn't turn on anymore. I changed the bulb and accidentally put in a 25W instead of a max 15W and it turned on for a few mins until i started sewing and it cut.

I put a 25 watt bulb in my max 15 watt machine by accident and i was on a a few minutes then it just clicked off. I went to start sewing and pushed the pedal and nothing happened and the bulb has gone off. Is it a blow fuse? How do I replace it?

SOURCE: Problem with winding thread onto

first you must make sure the winder shaft is turning by moving it to the right a little and see if you can turn it by hand.
If it is turning ok then there is a rubber ring on the other end of the winder shaft and it should come in contact with the drive which turnes it ,if it is worn it might need a new rubber.

SOURCE: Beeping Sewing Machine

Your problem is most certainly with the buttonhole switch. Firstly: Look if the buttonhole lever, left back of machine, is push up in position. The beeping sound is a warning message. Secondly Remove the light cover, left of the machine, loosen back screw and remove left hand screw completely. Check for a small black electric switch, follow the brown and green elecrtic wire, just back of the light. If you push the BH lever up and down the switch finger should also move up and down. If it stays down, the machine will not work and give a beeping sound. If the switch finger is stuck, push it up with the BH in top position. Hope this will help you

SOURCE: My foot pedal is really hot

Hello,
Based on your description and since your sewing machine is older, the motor inside your machine is probably drawing more current to maintain the same output power and all that current is passing thru the foot operated switch.. What that means is that your motor windings may be breaking down from age and use or the contacts within the footswitch may be getting carbon on them from passing more current than the original design called for and becoming resistive ( which equates to it getting hot). I suggest you discontinue using it until you have it maintenanced to make sure you aren't risking a shock or fire hazard. Sight unseen, it's difficult to draw any other conclusion.
Regards,
Rick

SOURCE: Today the machine started sewing by itself! My

There is a supressor, usually in the foot control that has burnt out. Not dangerous, quite a;arming tho' If you can remove the burnt unit yourself that's fine, but if you are in any doubt, ask a service centre for a quote to remove ot for you, or a qualified friend etc.....it is not essential, just reduces interference on TV and Radio while you sew in the same house.
It is mains power, so don't fool with things you don't understand.

SOURCE: sewing machine stops sews a minute slows down or stops then starts up

I suggest having the machine checked at a sewing machine shop
to see if there is something wrong with the motor, or the foot pedal
but first check to make sure the power cord & foot pedal are
connected correctly

Kenmore 158.1355080 sewing machine. Where is the fuse in my machine please?

Here is a 155 series model service manual and it doesn't list one

Nothing in this search either.

You need a good man with a digital multimeter to diagnose. Don't just replace things like motors on a guess. They can be tested. It may also be the foot pedal which is where your power comes from.

What type of bulb did you put into cause this??

How to change lightbulb in Air Electronic SU TSP Jubilee 500 and Carinas

If you own an Elna Air Electronic and blow a lightbulb then here is the instructions to change it. The lightbulb will be a bayonet fitting 15w but maybe remove old one first to make sure you get the right length bulb at the shop.

Firstly unplug the machine. Take your mini screwdriver that came in your kit and look at the top of the machine above the needle. There is a little hole there, put the screwdriver into the hole and push down on it, this lowers the bulb holder in the head of the machine down below the casing on a slant towards the back of the sewing bed, its spring loaded so you may need a second pair of hands to do it the first time.

Hold the screwdriver down, and grasp the bulb, push it up and twist anticlockwise to undo the bayonet fitting. Push down and repeat the process to insert the new bulb, turning clockwise to insert it into the bayonet fitting. Release the screwdriver and the bulb holder will retract back into position.

If you have a Stella air electronic then it is very similar except for the location where you need to push. On the Stella look at the rear of the machine head above the bobbin cover and you will see a little slide mounted right at the end of the rear casing. Same thing but for these, put the screwdriver across the top of the slide horizontally, then push down on it to lower the bulb mounting.

That's it! Happy sewing.

Elna su globe change how to?

Not sure if you have a Star Series SU or the newer Air Electronic SU machines but its similar for both. Firstly unplug the machine from the power. On the top of the machine head above the light and presser foot, there is a little hole, place the tiny screw driver that came with your accessory kit into this hole and push down. The bulb and assembly will come down on a spring, you may need a spare hand from someone to push this down. The bulb is a bayonet socket, so push and turn bulb to release. It goes in on an angle though, sometimes its easier first time to lie machine over on a towel on its side and have a look at what you are doing as you push down on the socket. Bulbs are 15w bayonet, if you remove the old one and take it to the shop, should be able to find something similar even if its not branded Elna.
Hope this assists.

What light bulb fits 4300 Morse sewing machine

The Morse 4300 and 4400 use the same small 15W screw in light bulb as many other sewing machines. This is one vendor: https://a1sewingmachine.com/LB716sm~Bulb%2C+15+Watt+Small+screw+in+base.htm . Another source is https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/light-bulb-white-7scw.aspx .

I hope this helps. However, if you have a bulb in the sewing machine, take it out and confirm that it is the screw in type. (If there is no bulb, look at the socket for some turns for threading in a bulb.) If the bulb or socket doesn't have threads, then look for a 15W push and twist bulb at sewing machine parts suppliers.

Hi, I have a Brother 1034d serger and it's practically new bought it in December last year and just started using it I made 8 skirts and the light bulb keeps blowing. I went to the store Lowe's and found a...

the main problem with blowing light bulbs on sewing machines is arcing caused by a loose ground that touches on the side of the bulb base as it screws in
disconnect the power from the wall sacket
use a suitable implement and bend that ground piece back towards the center of the holder so that you have a resistance when screwing in the new bulb
The arcing is in fact power fluctuations that have spikes or surges and bulbs do not take kindly to that sort of power problems
Only the bulbs from sewing machine spares shops should be used as general purpose household bulbs are not always successful because of the vibrations caused as the machine is sewing

How do you change the light?

what model is this for?

On the Air electronic SU and Carina there is a little hole in the top that you put your mini screw driver into and push down - this pushes the light socket down so you can access the bulb, bayonet 15W fitting.
tally_girl_57.jpg On the Stellas it is similar retracting light socket but there is a little lever on the back of the machine head that you need to push down, use screwdriver across it to give leverage.

Microwave oven RM-691 -- The oven light has gome out and I cannot seem to find where the light came from as there is no light bulb in sight. Can you help? It is an old machine made by Riccar Japan

Ok. I know that this question is old, but on the offhand that someone else is looking, I'll give input. The bulb that came out of mine is a Okusun 120V/15W bayonet mount, twin lead. The bulb I replace it with is a Sylvannia T7 number 15T7DC/BL/12 rated at 120V and 15W.

IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR AROUND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT DON'T DO THIS. There are high voltage capacitors in this unit. Make sure you are unplugged and leave it to allow voltage to drain from the capacitors. By the way, I also found a fuse 15 amp if yours has stopped working.

Take the six screws from the top panel off. Two on top and four on rear of microwave. I also took the right side panel off (looking at the microwave), but I don't think you have to.

One screw holds down the bayonet mount and allows the removal and replacement of the bulb.

Replace in reverse order and you're good to go.

How do you change the light bulb on a pfaff 7550

If you look down on your machine from the top you will see a small whole with a screw in it (you may need to lift the handle).
The screw is a flatblade/philps/20 torks.
Losen the screw about 2 full turns (do not take it out).
pull off the panel on the left and you should be able to see the light blulb.
Turn the light bulb about 90 degee and it should droop out.
Replace with only a 120v 15w bulb.

Hope his helps

Can't replace the bulb in my Elna air electronic SU

Disconnect from electricity and ensure the bulb has cooled down (or if blown for a while, no problems).

Using your screwdriver, press down into a hole on the top of the case to make the bulb protude below the casing. Bayonet socket, push in and turn towards the back to remove bulb. tally_girl_5.jpg Reverse the process to insert new bulb (15W maximum).
Bulb is inclined as per diagbram above.
