Hi, I have a suffolk punch 35s looks like the bearings are breaking up. trouble is I can't see how to remove the cutting blades from the case to get to the bearings. Anyone got any ideas ? bob

An old question but putting this here for anyone with a similar issue:

Remove the cutting cartridge from the mower. Remove the 24mm bolt holding on the drive cog (this is reverse threaded). Remove the grass shield at the rear of the cartridge (3 screws either side). Remove the top bar with handle (10mm socket recessed in the end of the bar. You should now be able to remove the blade, back off the adjusting screws either side and remove the bearing housings.

I need to set up the dellorto carb on the 35s suffolk punch

Running only with full choke is a fuel problem. Unhook fuel line from carb. it should run good. If not go back the line. Check the fuel cap vent.

Replacement bottom blade for suffolk punchl lawn mower

Hi Keith,

You can find spares here:

http://www.espares.co.uk/search/lawnmowers/suffolk-punch/p/1116/2173

If you google suffolk + punch + spares you should be able to find more websites which supply blades.

Hope this helps!

I have a Suffolk Punch 35s mower and the petrol cap leaks badly and won't stay on whilst mowing, do I need just a new cap to fix it?

Yes, that's all you need. At some time yours was cross-threaded, That means that it was forced on wrongly, and broke the thread.

Qualcast Suffolk Punch 35s lawnmower running problems

There is a small idling mixture screw on the side of the carburettor.
As the engine is not well suited to the carb. it mainly runs on the idle setting!
As long as you are not leaving the choke on. This is a little tab on the top of the carb. You start with it set on C then soon set it on the middle position, and after about 3 mins turn it off.
