Visual land 7 tablet will not reboot, frozen on jellybean screen even after following reboot instructions

Remove or diconnect the battery for a minute.

SOURCE: My visual land tablet is frozen on the lock

follow this steps and fix it. GOd bless you

Press the power button. Hold it for 20 seconds to force the unit to shut down.


  • 2 Turn the Tablet back on to determine if it is still frozen.



  • 3
    Remove the power adapter or USB cable from the Tablet. Turn it back off. Turn the Tablet over and remove the screw from the back of the device. Slide the battery panel off of the Tablet and pull the battery out of the unit.

  • 4
    Connect the Tablet to the power adapter and power it on. The freezing issue should be fixed and your Table should respond properly. Reinsert the battery and charge it to full before removing it from power.

    SOURCE: MY VISUAL LAND CONNECT 9 TABLET IS FROZEN. I CAN GET IT TO THE DEAD ROBOT BUT IT WON'T GOT TO THE CHOICES TO RESET

    Press up and down volume buttons at the same time and the options should show up.

    It is normally cheaper to replace it.

    If you can't take it back to your dealer, try contacting a computer science teacher at your local high school or community college and see if they can put you in touch with a student who could help you out. That would probably be the cheapest option.

    Try a hard reset first:

    To factory reset your Visual Land Prestige 10 tablet, you can follow these steps:
    1. Turn off the tablet by pressing and holding the Power button until the Power menu appears, then select "Power off".
    2. Once the tablet is off, press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons at the same time.
    3. Keep holding the buttons until the Visual Land logo appears on the screen, then release both buttons.

    Verify it is not frozen, to do so you may need to do a hard reboot. This is typically done by pressing and holding the power button for 20 seconds, some tablets will have a hole on the back which is the reset button. If that doesn't help, you may want to consider buying a new charger as the existing one may be defective. Beyond that the tablet may be defective itself.

    How to do a factory reset
    I found these instructions on the Visual Land website:

    1. Make sure the unit is powered off.
    2. Press and hold the "V+ or V- BUTTON" and the "POWER BUTTON" simultaneously for 15 seconds.
    3. The Android recovery screen will appear.
    4. Use the "VOL+ BUTTON" to scroll down to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" then press the "POWER BUTTON" to select this option.
    5. On the next screen, scroll down to "Yes -- Delete all user data" and press the "POWER BUTTON."
    6. Then select "Reboot System Now" again using the "POWER BUTTON"
    7. The tablet should now be back to it's factory settings and you should be able to access it once again.
