Can I replace a G50V US keyboard with a UK keyboard

Hi Alan
this should be possible, you will need to change the language in the control panel for all of the symbols to be in the correct places. Hope this helps.

Cannot work out how to use the @ symbol as just bought this for my daughter

If the netbook has been set up with the wrong keyboard settings from new, it may have a different language configuration.

Try pressing Shift and the number 2 instead of Shift and ' - this is the most common difference between UK and USA keyboard layouts.

If this works, then it is possible to reconfigure. What operating system is installed? (WIndows 7, or Linux, for example).

Good luck.

I cant input a question mark only a symbol when on a Word document.

Try these 4 solutions :
1. Reinstall all windows fonts using a CD or from Microsoft website

2. Change the keyboard setting in the Language bar.

3. Change Language From (For Example : EN to other language, then other language to EN)

4. Reinstall Microsoft Office

But if you need the question mark as fast as possible ... just copy and paste it from the internet ... here it is ( ? )

The pound symbol is shown as being on the number 3 key, however it is not available on any key. The @ symbol is supposed to be on the ' key but is actually hidden under the number 2 key. I need the pound...

Go To control panel - Regional and language options and click on Languages tab; there click on Details button in "text services and input languages" ; then change the default input language to English (United Kingdom). Then the keyboard layout will change to UK standard and you will find the Pound symbol.Change it back to English (US) once your purpose is over

Key symbols on Eee netbook do not correlate to text on screen

It is either a software issue or you have the wrong keyboard installed on your laptop.

Change operating language

How to change OS language from Dutch to English? The regional settings change only the keyboard, the multilanguage option is not available on ASUS Eee PC's XP Home!!! It is just a localized version: it saya everything in Dutch.
Reinstalling in English, I can not use my clean serial, it does not accept it and also I lose all the drivers...
So how could we REALLY do it?

Your keyboard has a factory setting to US as default. You can confirm this by pressing shift and 2 and you will get the @ sign. If I am correct, then you will have to go to the control panel and change the region /language etc. US default is common as all manufacturers expect purchasers to personalise their gadgets when they get them home. I hope this solves it for you.
