Check the Waste toner Container
If it is full dump all toner.
If problem persists then clean the Sensor
And check the harness

Cancel printing, turn off the machine. Then clear the jammed paper or protective material that is preventing the FINE cartridge holder from moving, and turn the machine on again. If not remedied, turn off machine, unplug the power cord of the machine from power supply. Plug machine back in and turn power back on. If problem is not resolved, please contact service center. SOURCE: Soon after initiating printing, Canon s400 printer stops with a loud clunk. This produces Error 5100. Turning off and on again does not help.

Hi You can Try

Error Code 5100 This happens lots in caon
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

SOURCE: My Canon MP980 is showing Printer Error code 6000....

error [6000] or light blinking 3 times is mean there is an error occurred in the LF encoder signal.
