Your issue lies with the fuel delivery system components.
Check them out.
It lost electrical power. The ignition, dash lights nothing comes on but the horn honks and the flashers and headlights work. If I jump across the starter and stay on it, it runs until I remove it so it is getting diesel. There is no ignition power to start it.
Could be the ignition switch or ignition relay that has gone bad.
Check those out!
This is left field - for what it's worth, saw this once at a friend's shop - just an oversight. It was a John Deere Mower - Diesel. Oil level hadn't been checked in the case - there was a low-oil sensor/kill switch. Same conditions if I remember correctly. Mower was in use - no issues - then just died. Could get it to turn over but not catch. No other issues found. Fuel Pressure was there - nothing was showing amiss. Checked the oil, saw how low it was - filled it up - and I don't think there was any special reset, etc. Just shut it off. Filled it up. And it was alive. I know your issue is with a Gator - but this would have been a...2005-2008 - not the zero turn - but the diesel with the smaller deck area out in front. Just a thought.
