Slow to respond to handset. When on for a while a lot of channels freeze, turn it off, turn on again and is better, then freezes in minutes again. Channel 3 and 5 say they are scrambled and bad signal (O.K. with TV alone so signal o.k.)and to retune which I keep doing other channels freezing. This is happening on two Humax boxes, one 2 years old the other 3. How to fix?

press edit and go to bottom selection system instilation, press ok. type in 1004 on remote, nothing will appear till last digit entered. you will now see a hidden menu. there are three selections go to the bottom one and highlight, to the left another box says off use the right button and it will change to on. press exit till you come back. Go to sky movies or sport and a few minutes later you will see a box updating data, let it update and a picture will apear, all the pictures are now unscrambled. worked ok for me.

Removed the aerial cable which enable the unit to operate.
In installation menu selected "Default settings". Once this had completed, I powered down the unit, I added the aerial cable and powered on the unit. Unit then searches for channels and stores them "save" tab. Issue resoved.

Humax are having problems and are starting to send out software upgrades (night-time updates) - seems to be related to the new formats on the MUXs for the digital switch-over. Our 9150T hasn't been fixed yet but due any day (I hope)

This is a problem that i had with my DTI6300-16 it is the main hv capacitor on the psu (22uf 400v) it tested about 18uf so i replaced it,it now is working without picture breakup.i hope this helps?

Remove the Aerial.
Switch on or if it's frozen switch off at the mains and on again.
Press Menu
Installation and enter password - 0000
Select 'Default Setting' and OK
Select 'YES' and OK to restore all settings to factory default.
Confirm again to start loading, enter the password again and it will
start scanning for channels but won't find any.
Replace the aerial and press OK to rescan and now it will find channels.
On completion press SAVE then EXIT on your keypad.
You won't lose any saved programmes but you will have to re-schedule
your recordings.
