Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Any button opens phonebook.

My Motarolla V3 can start up and turn off but once it's on, any button (except the off button) will bring up the phone book. From there I can only exit the phonebook with the off button.

The first time this occurred was after I had used it to receive a text only several hours prior, without turning it off before the problem occurred. I do not believe it is water/shock/force damaged.

Is there any way to get it working without loss of my files?
I'm willing to spend to save my pictures and video files.

Re: Any button opens phonebook.

Well you should try and reflash the original that just might happen again...the software or firmware could be giving problems.

Grapics, songs ,videos and voicemails deleted whats up?

The following is from the Razr V3 manual: Master Clear - Clear all user settings and entries except SIM card information, erase all downloaded pictures and sound files, reset all options except unlock code, security code, and lifetime timer. Caution: Master clear erases all user-entered information (including phonebook and datebook entries) and user-downloaded content (including photos and sounds) stored in your phone's memory. After you erase the information you cannot recover it.

Hope this answers your question.

Phonebook access

i can help... i have incurred this problem a couple of times and understand the frustration! firstly, the reason why snd how this problem occurs is you have saved a number to your phonebook without a name and this causes the phone book to wig-out! to fix the issue simply press "1#". This will allow you to view your phone book in its speed dial order. Scroll through this menu until you find the saved number without the name and DELETE it. This will immediately bring your phone book back to normal. Good luck!
