Really difficult to help when no info is provided for the machine brand/model. If it's mechanical, probably needs a good cleaning and oiling.

The handwheel will turn manually but it will not move using the foot pedal. The sound it makes when I press on the foot pedal *sounds* like I am filling the bobbin.

I need a schematic of the interior of my machine so I can repair it. Motor turns on, fly wheel and bobbin mechanism works but needle and bobbin area don't.

Service manuals for sewing machines are available. Do an internet search. If the needle goes up and down when you manually turn the hand wheel you may simply have a belt problem (broken or off the pulley). If the needle doesn't move when the hand wheel turns, there's a major problem in the mechanism.

KENMORE 15612 MAKES SCREAMING SOUND WHEN RUN.

could possibly be that your wheel belt it to tight. Possibly you need to oil the stitching arm and other areas their should be small holes on sewing base and one on top beside the where the sewing arm is located

Makes one stitch then abrupt stop with threads bunching up from bottom

Have you taken the bobbin out and made sure there is nothing caught in the bobbin race area. Maybe even unscrew the plate and take the whole bobbin race assembly apart and clean well. Once that is done put back together then re thread machine. Next I would start by hand turning the machine and doing some stitches slowly with the fly wheel make sure to to forwards only never turn the fly wheel back wards. If everything seems clear give it some power slowly and see how it goes.

10000 janome jamming fly wheel won't turn

I would replace the needle anyway. It's hard to tell if one is bent or not.

Remove your feed dog/needle plate and the bobbin cover. Take out your bobbin and bobbin carrier.

Get out a magnifying glass and really examine. Look for thread ends in between moving parts.

Also check the thread pathways. Especially where the take up lever is hidden. I've heard of some ladies finding threads snarled up in that area which caused problems like this.

Good luck. If all else fails take it in for repair.

My ELNA 3005 machine is making graunching noises

Open your side cover. normally a screw on top and two on the bottom and maybe one on the side.
After removing the cover you will see one or two tensioner plastic black pullies.(they keep your motor belt and timing belt tight. They need a little bit of machine oil.
